These two are us: Eponine and Sébastien. Eponine lived in Madrid for 20 years and for 15 years organized artist’s open studio  weekends in neighborhood districts of the center of Madrid: La Latina, Lavapiès, Malasaña, and Chueca. She met Sébastien in a bar in Brussels during the summer of 2011. What was supposed to be a holiday romance lasted a little longer than expected, and after a few months of long-distance love, Sébastien decided to move to Madrid in 2012 and began actively collaborating on the organization of the “Artistas del Barrio” open studio.

We think that giving visibility to local artists one weekend a year wasn’t enough, so we opened our first store near Madrid’s Rastro in 2018.

In 2024, we opened our second store, this time in Brussels. We’ve exported our Spanish artists there and are also starting to work with local artists there, creating a special connection between our two prefered cities.

Sébastien manages the Madrid store and Eponine manages the Brussels store.
